Chris Brogan's 3 words

Chris Brogan is an expert in social media. He is a giver, sharer, teacher and mentor. I learn from his blogs and newsletters on a daily basis; he always has something new to say. And more importantly, is always asking questions.

His post today asked people to express their goals for 2009 in 3 words (and we thought Twitter's 140 character limit was restrictive!). It was a great exercise, really getting down to the basics of what I'm wanting out of 2009. My words are:

BELIEVE - in myself. Without belief and trust in self, there is no moving forward.

RECEIVE - I’m a giver, and too often I don’t accept the help others offer me (or Idon’t ask for it) and then we both miss out on great opportunties. Not accepting help, skills and gifts from others takes away their chance to be who they want to be.

BE - in the moment. I’m sometimes so wrapped up in what could have/should have been that I forget about the now. And other times I’m so concerned about the future I’m not working on what I can do right this moment to achieve my goals.

Without believing in myself nothing else matters, without receiving from others leaves me on my own, and being in the moment will help me focus and make things happen.

So those are my 3. In the spirit of Chris Brogan, I ask, "What are your 3 words?"
